The stereotypical image of a dental surgery is somewhere that causes feelings of anxiety, pain and discomfort, but at Stretford Road Dental Practice that couldn’t be further from the truth. Our friendly and understanding team have made it their mission to make everyone feel comfortable in practice, including our very youngest patients.
It’s a sad fact that tooth decay and oral problems are the most common reason for primary school-aged children in the UK to be admitted to hospital, but we don’t think it has to be that way. We advise you to bring your child for regular dental check-ups from an early age, so that they can get used to the surroundings of a dental practice. Children under the age of four can usually be seen during their parent’s appointment, and they’ll be able to watch the dentist have a look around mummy or daddy’s mouth too.
During your child’s check-up, our experienced team will check their teeth and gums for any signs of decay, and make sure their brushing technique is up to scratch. Our owners have a young family of their own, so they’re very used to keeping little ones engaged and entertained whilst they’re in the chair.
Regular appointments ensure that we are able to spot any problems at the earliest possible stage and take action if necessary, rather than waiting until a serious problem has developed causing unnecessary pain for your youngster and a potentially expensive and lengthy course of treatment too.
